§Multiple choice test making website- this is a website that helps teachers to construct multiple choice tests or quizzes for their students, very handy! The website is: www.easytestmaker.com
§You Tube- this is a brilliant teacher resource, but needs to be used carefully. There are so many short videos and songs for many aspects of teaching, you can look up and get results for nearly everything to do with teaching, but should only be accessed by the teacher as it is a public site and there is also a lot of inappropriate things on there too. The website for You Tube is: http://www.youtube.com/
§Powerpoint- is a computer program that is installed on most computers that have Microsoft programs. It can easily be used by the children, and is a fun way of getting the students to present information whilst improving their computer skills.
§Interactive Whiteboard- these are installed in some schools, but not all unfortunately. It is basically a giant touch computer screen the works that same as a computer screen but instead of using the mouse (as you do on the computer) you do so with the specially designed pen, so students can use it and it is interactive. You can put anything up on the whiteboard that you can put up on the computer, and there is also specially designed software for this called MIMIO. §Google- is a great search engine for both teachers and students, and is very easy to use. Once again though it needs to be used with caution, as anything can be found on the website. To use Google go to: www.google.com §Talking Tins- is a great tool for processing and presenting information. They look like lids of tins and you can record voice into them. Very exciting for the students to use, and they also provide a great way of leaning for visually impaired students. §Wiki spaces- is a site where you can create your own wiki pages, great for assignments like this because everyone in the assignment group can access everything and work on it.
